Privacy policy.

Plain-English version. Last updated 2026-05-25. We collect as little as possible; we never sell anything to anyone.

What we collect

IF Digital ("we") operates ifdig.com (the "site"). When you visit, we collect:

  • Analytics signals — browser, screen size, referring page, country (from IP), pages viewed. Anonymized and aggregated. Used to understand which content is useful.
  • Form submissions — your name, email, company, budget range, and message when you use the contact or newsletter forms. Used only to reply to your inquiry or send the newsletter you signed up for.
  • Technical logs — server-side request logs (IP, user agent, timestamps) kept for 30 days for security and debugging.

What we do not collect

  • Credit card numbers (we use Stripe; cards never touch our servers).
  • Browsing history outside ifdig.com.
  • Sensitive personal information (health, race, religion, biometrics).
  • Data from anyone under 18.

Cookies

We set a small number of first-party cookies and one localStorage entry:

  • ifd-audit-banner-dismissed-v1— localStorage flag so the audit promo doesn't reappear after you dismiss it.
  • ifd-privacy-accepted-v1 — localStorage flag for the privacy banner once you acknowledge it.
  • Vercel session cookies for security/performance, set by our hosting provider.

We currently do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. When we add analytics, it will be privacy-respecting (Plausible or similar) with no cross-site tracking.

Who we share data with

Limited to:

  • Email delivery (Resend or similar) — to send you our reply when you submit a form. Email address only.
  • Hosting (Vercel) — to run the site. Standard request logs.
  • Government / legal compliance — if required by valid legal process. We will challenge requests that seem overbroad.

We do not sell, rent, lease, or trade your data to anyone. Ever.

Your rights

You can ask us, at any time, to:

  • Show you all data we hold about you (within 30 days).
  • Delete your data permanently.
  • Correct anything that's wrong.
  • Export your data in a portable format.

Email hello@ifdig.comwith "Privacy request" in the subject. We respond within five business days.

Data retention

  • Contact form submissions: 24 months from last contact.
  • Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe + 30 days.
  • Server logs: 30 days.
  • Client engagement records: 7 years (Canadian tax requirement).

Data location

Our hosting (Vercel) operates globally; your data may be processed in the US, EU, or other regions depending on the closest edge node. Vercel maintains SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certifications.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this page when our practices change. Material changes will be announced via the newsletter and via a banner on the site for 30 days. The "last updated" date at the top always reflects the most recent edit.
